Feel Good Friday.
The Warriors met up this morning with those lovely mums and fantastic youngsters from the Lady Elizabeth School Benitachell who stand outside the school gates every third Friday in the month rattling their collection buckets, collecting donated clothes and household goodies so that they can help support local kids in care. Our young stars with the help of all their friends raised a whopping €279.54 as well as donating a van full of clothes, food and lots of goodies.
Added to that “Make a Smile” have been presented with a cheque by our awesome Recycling Warriors the amazing Barbara and Dennis for the outstanding amount of €1400 from their El Cid Bar/Restaurant “Make a Smile”Charity auction two weeks ago. We called in our Warrior Kyen to deliver €629.28 of fresh meets, fish, cheese, hams etc, to be divided between the children’s home in Calpe and our youngsters in El Vergel. We also did a little shop of €158.71 to top up their storerooms with fresh salads, veggies, yoghurts, olive oil, bread and other basic necessities. Out of our total monies raised today by you lovely folk you will have fed sixteen little ones for the next few weeks. The balance of €891.55 will be spent next week on another food shop for the children’s home and twenty four challenged youngsters in Relleu.
Sounds like a pretty good Friday to me.
