I’ve always liked the idea of recycling goods to raise money for the work that “Make a Smile” is involved in, saving landfill while helping to support local children and challenged youngsters in care. Today with your fantastic donations of unwanted but good quality household items and the tireless efforts of our awesome recycling warriors, we filled the fridges and storerooms of our two homes in Relleu spending a whooping €1,191.04 at Makro. We also spent €600 on the Relleu children’s homes 8 seater Van putting four new types and a full service making the children’s only form of transport safe, plus due to the economic problems that the Relleu children’s home is facing, we have also needed to donate a €300 cash safety net to the main Carer allowing her to take care of the children’s day to day needs. With your support through recycling or by purchasing one of our super fresh veggie bags from our Relleu self sufficiency project we are managing to keep the wolf from the door for so many little ones in need. A super big thank you to everyone who makes this happen.
