Amigos de Make A Smile
The Amigos de Make A Smile charity shop opened its doors in June 2017 and has been a huge success from its first day.
Previously the Make A Smile recycle team were given the use of part of The Bed Centre‘s warehouse in Benissa but this filled up with the generous donations of good quality furniture bric-a-brac and clothes from local community so a new space was needed which the public could visit to be able to take advantage of the myriad of nearly new items for sale. Barbara along with her team of volunteers work tirelessly to keep the shop looking lovely and process the large amount of new items for sale daily and Dennis, Barbara’s husband checks and fixes items prior to putting them up for sale in the shop.
The funds raised in the shop are used for Make A Smile‘s many projects including educational programs and extracurricular activities amongst many other needs of local children in care homes.
Donations
The charity accepts all sorts of donations of household brick-a-brack, clothes and accessories, and small pieces of furniture.
If you would like to donate your items, please make sure they are in good condition with no stains or holes and are washed and ready for sale. These can be taken to the shop in Teulada.
For any pieces of furniture, please email photos to info@makeasmile.es with your contact details and address and we will let you know if we can collect.
We do not accept beds and older electrical items.

Become a Volunteer
Apart from raising funds for the children, being part of the ADMAS (Amigos de Make A Smile) family can be very rewarding. You will meet like-minded people and enjoy the social aspect of being part of a team.
