Altea Football Pitch

In 2011, Spain was scheduled to play Scotland at the Alicante football stadium. The Tartan Army Children’s Charity (TACC) which is the charity branch of the Scotland Supporters club arrived in advance and contacted Make A Smile via Bay Radio to see if there was a project for local children they could fund. 

As it happened there was a piece of land beside one of the homes in Altea just crying out for a games field. The TACC funded the project, played a game against the children and brought over a pipe band to open the brand new football field.
